Default Trouble with Airplane mode

Hi guys,
this is my first post.
I've an HTC Desire with last 2.2 Android version (fantastic smartphone!) and I've some trouble with Airplane mode:
when I stop 'Airplane mode' and I resume the 'standard' mode, every time I get an alert icon with "SIM card changed": when I select the alert, system returns "The application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.", so I confirm with Force Close and everything works.
Is there any way to avoid this annoying behaviour?
Thank you for any help,
fRANz
