Default No SIM card in phone

Hi guys,

I've owned a HTC Desire for months and has worked flawlessly until changing the SIM card.

It now comes up with "No SIM card in phone (emergency calls only)". I put my old SIM card in, as well as two others, and it still says it – so it's definately the handset.

I have flashed it back to factory default to no avail.

Any help is most welcome.

You could check to see if you've somehow got a bit of fluff stuck in the SIM socket that's blocking one of the contacts. Chances are that if it was working until you changed SIM, that's all it is.
