Default Google Maps - Cant force close "network location service"

Since updating Google maps the other day I can't seem to close network location services in the manage apps menu without it starting up again, so everytime I close it down it just keeps restarting over and over again, I have tried uninstalling updates but it just gets stuck when doing so.

Any ideas guys ?

I may be wrong here, but I think maps is connected to the weather app for determining your location, thus providing accurate weather. If you don't use a weather app, just make sure its not updating anyhow in your settings.

Also untick Google location services in the settings too.
