Default HTC Desire Very long boot time, and almost 45 seconds to awake from sleep??

hi guys

I have a HTC desire, recently however it takes an incredibly long time to boot but more importantly once I press the power button to awake it from sleep it takes at least 15-60 seconds to respond. Once its awake , it works perfectly speedy though. How can I resolve this, it never used to be like this. Is there any chance it could be a physical problem, i dropped it quite badly a few days ago, but it didnt seem to do any damage. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Was it taking this long to boot from sleep before you dropped it?

But yeah, something is far from right. Might need to think about getting it fixed through warranty if it's a physical issue. Just don't mention you dropped it!

As Jon says, the key question is whether the problem started when you dropped it?

Otherwise, one other question: are you rooted and have you made any software mods, especially changing kernels or playing with cpu governors? If so that could be the answer - the "smartass" governor is notorious for being extremely slow to wake from sleep, so you should avoid using that (OnDemand is generally a good choice). If none of this means anything to you, then you don't need to worry about it, as it's not stuff that can happen without your doing it yourself
