Surprised Is there a way to add viewable notes onto the homescreen?

I could easily do this on my old sony ericsson K800 phone. What I mean is adding notes where you can see the writing of the note on the home page,

the events widget sort of allows this but is there an application actually designed for it?

There's a cool HTC widget (download through the HTC widget 'more' menu) that I use. It puts a nice note pad on a homescreen (fills an entire screen tho!) and you can scroll quickly through multiple notes.

I downloaded and tried all the ones I could fine on the marketplace, but it seemed the best to me.

Could you explain exactly how to get this?

If you go to the "add widget" menu, theres a dropdown at the top for "get more HTC widgets". Notes is on there, you just download it and then add it like any other widget

Once there, press Menu > Update

It will download the widget along with a coin flip and dice widget...

ColourNote app is really good and allows you to put postits on your home screen which show the beginning few words of the notes.
