Default accessing internal sd root directory

I have an HT-PAD1051 - seems to be pretty close to the HeroTab M10.

I have rooted the device but can not get access to the root directory in the internal sd card. (There is no external sd card slot on this particular device). Part of teh internal sd card is mapped to a /mnt/ directory and folders in that directory are accessible. But no access to the root directory. So, when I try to flash Clockwork Mod recovery using ROM Manager it fails due to not being able to access the directory.

Any suggestions?

Thanks .....

Are there multiple partitions on the internal SD card?

If there is only one partition and if the internal CD card is mounted on /mnt, then the path /mnt does refer to the root directory of the internal SD card.

Thanks jiminaus.

There must be multiple paretitions.

I can see the root directories but am not "allowed" access to them in that they come up empty, but I know they are not. I have managed to browse the system files /data/data/... but only using ES Files and with superuser permissions. Once I'm out of that app I no longer have access to the system partition which I need to flash the rom.

Will keep trying ...
