Hi Everyone,

I'm pretty new to programming and Andoid app Development but wanna make a start in it (the new job I have has a development team within it and they deal mainly in C++ and VB but want an Android App making so have given me an opportunity)

As mentioned i'm pretty new to programming but have a very basic knowledge of Java (thanks to YouTube and the Java series by TheNewBoston). I'm also making a start on their Android Development series.

I'm mainly looking for some information on where to start with writing my first App?! I'd like to do something simple (in terms of how it would work). Maybe something with buttons and the press of each button will take you to another page with further buttons? Just so I can get an idea of how things work.

I've used sample code found on Google and have actually made myself a splash loadup screen that comes on for about 5 seconds (but when it goes off it comes up with 'Force Close' as I need to find some way of it loading up the next part of the App (but as i'm still learning i've no idea how to)

I've got Eclipse and the Android SDK Installed and this is what i'm currently using.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Perhaps start with the Hello World and Hello Views tutorials.
