Default Eclipse emulator

True to form the Eclipse emulator is having its' daily 'I'm not going to work' moment by showing me the 'Stopped unexpectedly' message however the app works if I run it on my mobile..? Any suggestions of things I could try in Eclipse to jump start the emulator? I've tried to set up new emulators, reset adb, restart Eclipse, anything other normal bits to try? The code I'm using worked fine yesterday and I've not touched it.

Frustrating.

Do you mean the emulator itself is unexpectedly terminating, or your app in the emulator?

If it's your app, is the fatal exception being logged in the Eclipse LogCat view?

Wink Specs of the Phone

Another option is that the emulator might be running worse equipment virtually than your physical phone - may wanna check if they are similar in spec.

The emulators are notoriously greedy when it comes to memory and system resources - and often VERY slow to initialize. I haven't found any tried and true tricks - but you may want to look at your system resources and see if there isn't something still sitting around that's keeping you from getting the most out of your system.

Eclipse and the Android tools are fantastic, but sometimes, they just get buggered up and you have to flush the pipes with a restart.
