Carrier: Not Provided
Thanked 1 Time in 1 Post
I thought there would be a sticky somewhere about carriers by region. I couldn't find it so let's start hashing out the best carrier in terms of quality.
I am in Austin, TX and am going to buy the Galaxy Note II which is available on all carriers. I need your help in choosing which one.
I have been with T-Mobile and ATT in the past and have had horrible service. By that, I mean dropped calls, slow internet, spotty service, missed texts, etc. To me, the GSM network is not as developed as CDMA here in the states. I don't travel abroad, so I really have no reason to buy GSM unless the coverage and performance is improved from 3 and 5 years ago respectively. I assume that, unless there has been a big investment in network development or a major leasing agreement between carriers, that CDMA is still the way to go. ATT hasn't made strides in growing the network (they don't need to with previous proprietary iphone agreements and overall giant customer base. They could sandwich a battery between two pieces of shit and customers would be forced to buy it) and T-Mobile just wants out of the U.S. market. (They tried to sell to ATT, got turned down by the govt., then offered to split between ATT/Cricket and got rejected by Cricket.) I'll consider GSM but it's gonna take a lot to relieve my skepticism.
That still leaves me with Verizon, Sprint, Cricket, or maybe an MVNO reseller.
Help me out phans...
