Default Nexus 10, Samsung galaxy note 10.1, or other???

Hey guys! Okay, so I've never had a tablet before (besides a cheesy generic 7 inch thing that barely works) , and I'm looking to get one. I prefer the 10 inch form factor, so I've kind of narrowed it down to some of the best: Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, and the Nexus 10. One thing that sucks about the nexus 10 is that there's no micro sd. I guess that's not a big problem, but it bothers me. On the other hand, the galaxy note 10.1 has micro sd, and the s pen is a really cool extra. I do like the multi-tasking on the galaxy note 10.1, but I'm wondering when it will get android 4.2 keylime pie. This is one of the things I really really like about the nexus 10. It's got 4.2 out of the box, and it has DIFFERENT USER ACCOUNTS!!! I have an 11 year old sister that would love to play games on this thing, and I think its just sweet that I could have my own personal stuff, and she would have hers. Then I wouldn't have to worry about her getting into my email or chats .

Ok, so I would really like some advice on what is a good 10 inch tablet. I really like the nexus 10, but I think the s pen is cool, and I get external storage. Also, if you guys could send me benchmark comparisons of the two tabs, that would be awesome.

Thanks a lot,
Michael

First off welcome to the forums

Next i will be moving this to device comparisons since you are comparing the Note 10.1 to the Nexus 10....

Lastly, to get to your issues...

4.2 is not Keylime pie, it is actually still under the Jelly Bean name, anyhow though, i found a spec sheet for you to look at here: Google Nexus 10 vs Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 - Phone specs comparison

Might i say that the resolution on the Nexus 10 kicks butt compared to the Note 10.1

Another thing to note is that the Nexus 10, 32gb is currently Sold out on Google

Thanks a ton for the quick reply, it helped a lot. Yeah, I think the nexus 10 is better imo, but the galaxy note 10.1 does have removable storage and the s pen. Yes, I will have to wait for 32 gb to get back in stock, I saw that as well. I don't know how long that will take.
Anyways, if you could recommend any other tabs to me, that would be awesome.

Thanks a lot,
Michael

Personally, i'd choose depending on what you plan on using it for. While true that the Nexus had an awesome screen resolution, if you plan to read and annotate books, papers, pdf files in general or make drawings and stuff, the S-Pen and Note is going to give you an awesome experience. Nothing will give you the same accuracy as the S-Pen would on an Android tablet (unless there is another WACOM powered tablet and stylus combo out there not running Windows 8).

In terms of raw power, the quad core A9 on the Note should be able to match the dual A15 in terms of pure computing power, but the Nexus would feel and be faster because it's using pure Android.

Would be interested in ChanChan's view of any pending Samsung tablet releases in the works, regarding all this.
