Default Note 2 on verizon or at&t ?

I'm currently on verizon so if I purchase a note 2 I would have to pay full price but I could switch to at&t. I hear the verzion version of the note 2 is rather hacked up and 'broken' but I hear at&t has horrible customer care issue (reception is about the same for both where I live and rootscore indicates at&t lte is silghtly faster).

If I were to stick with verion the note 2 would cost me around $700; if I switch to at&t it would cost around $300 (including verizon etf). Comments ?

Nope I do not have unlimited plan but I did manage to snag a 4GB plan last year @ $30; and I do take advantage of verizon free tethering. Also I know the boot loader has been 'unlocked' but rather not bother with custom roms.
