Default Samsung Galaxy s4 Note 3 or something else?

I've have the Galaxy S2 for a while. Been nothing but problems with it. They've replaced it 3 times. I finally sold mine on Ebay for $200 and bought another used S2 on Craigslist for $150. After I updated it to Ice Cream sandwich it was a mess. The new one has the old gingerbread and it is doing fine.
Really want to upgrade to the Note 3 in a couple months when it comes out.
But..... I've just had nothing but problems with the Galaxy Captivate and S2. Think I should try the HTC M7 instead? Think Samsung has all their bugs worked out? ( freezing, gps not working, battery life, charging issues, just plain crashing). I used to be an iphone fan. Never had any problems with all the iphones I had. I love android better but think I just need to get a phone that works!
What do you think will be the best phone coming out???
Thanks

Honestly, I've never had your problems on my Samsung devices, so maybe its something your carrier's firmware does. and for the record, none of the Samsung devices you mentioned will be out internationally before June AFAIK.

I had a Samsung Vibrant that was so glitchy it was unusable, and I had to get rid of it, but my SGS3, and Note 2 are both of exceptional quality, and came glitch free.
I think the latest Samsungs have all of the glitches worked out, however, any new phone that is just coming out is always a bit of a risk, as sometimes there are glitches that need to be patched or upgraded.
