I'll help you when out when I get home from vacation. It'll be third on my list of things to do. The first being get psx4droid working on my D2 and the second being rooting my Devour.
Well what I did so far was theme the battery and also change the smiley I'm working on changing the boot animation right now. Before you theme or anything can you please give me a framework-res.apk back up I can't believe I forgot to back it up. Also, I'm trying to figure out how to change the font do you know how to change that? Like the colour from black to white.
I know absolutely nothing about rooting or customization of a rooted device. I am relatively good with technology so giving you the backup shouldn't be a problem.
The default .png files for the MotoBlur overlay are in the BlurHome.apk. There I found the tray .png files, garbage can, and the default call and contact .png files.
Snowboarder,
You have inspired me today. One note of caution though. Reloading BlurHome.apk will require a factory reset of phone otherwise the android market will not work correctly.
Mine thus far...
actually my market stopped working after i pushed the new framework but i found a way to fix that if u go to,
Settings>applications>Manage Applications>Market
Then clean the Cache then above that will say uninstalli updates
do that then the market should work again
Also, thank you 007shark for the backup of the framework ! I hope that We have a custom rom soon so we can really start themeing this phone to look good. Once we have custom roms i bet this phone will be just as good as the other android phones.
Here is an easy way to change the "NB" notification bar color, WITHOUT A COMPUTER. use universal androot, root your phone, then DLoad Ninjamorph, open "N morph" then click new project, select system, framework, framework-res.apk, res, drawable, then scroll to statusbar-background.png press and hold to edit color, hit menu button save your changes, back out to N Morph front screen, tap finish project, select framework-resapk, and your done, but you will need to find clock ect, apks on your own, it shouldn't be to hard, just remember these steps. Also N Morph creates backups of the files before you edit them, just remember to move your backup to a safe place so as not to be overwritten. If you have any probs email me, l_dub_ya@yahoo.com, * I will not be responsible for any damages* I have sucesfully done this on rooted stock Devour and still loving it.
