Motorola Droid 2 Newbie Friendly How To's w/ Instructional Videos

This is a nice idea - videos make it easy to see how things work.

However, the instructions linked to above haven't been filtered for D2 differences from D1 and other phones. The links in the top half include instructions that won't work on the D2 as described. Especially for a newbie that could be very confusing or result in them getting their phone into a bad state.

For example, the instructions to install a new recovery won't work on a D2, you can only put a custom recovery on the D2 via the Droid 2 Boostrapper app.

The instructions to load a theme are also incorrect in at least two places, one of which (how to launch recovery) would stop the D2 user in his/her tracks. The instructions for launching recovery actually won't work for a D1 or D2...

TheUnlockr, this would be a lot more useful and avoid causing confusion if you edit and post links only to D2 relevant/usable instructions.

Also, a general comment on installing instructions for installing ROMs and Themes...in the majority of cases ROM and Theme developers provide complete and tested instructions to install their particular ROM or Theme...I would recommend that users focus their attention on carefully following those instructions provided by the ROM/Theme developer for those tasks, rather than using "generic" instructions.

Hope that makes sense...don't mean to come across negative, the more help the better in most cases, but need to make sure all the content is applicable...
