Default Rooted worked....Rom Flash stuck on bootloop

Rooted my D2 running GB today using Pete's Motorola's One Click Root. Everything went fine. I backed up everything with Titanium. Then followed Unlockr process for flashing the ROM using Linda's File manager and backed up the ROM, then loaded Liquid 3.0.

Phone is stuck in a bootloop after loading Liquid 3.0. I get to the shimmering X and then I'm back to the stream of water. Sometimes I kind of get lucking and my phone works it's way past the loop and comes up....except the screen is blank other than the bar at the top with a battery, 3G and Date.

Holding the power off button does not work so I pulled the battery a number of times. I was able to get into recovery once by keyboard X and the power button then pushing the volume up/down buttons. I did not see a backup/recover option. Just reboot, select file from SD, wipe something and wipe cache. Them my phone battery dies. Once charged I’m back at the boot loop.

Is there any recovery from this?

you may have to start all over again--its a bummer but alot of us ( including me) have tinkered and failed like you so this is my 2 cents:

1) .SPF back to stock:
Tutorial/Walkthrough for flashing an .sbf to Droid 2 (unrooting/factory restore) - xda-developers

2) z4 root device, install d2 recovery , clear cache, delete all user data in recovery than install rooted gingerbread leak here:
Droid 2 Gingerbread (2.3.3) - Release Thread

30 maybe use a different custom rom, heres a run up of ones that are out there with links1:

** Im running liberty gingerbread v.09 that I installed with liberty toolbox; (Liberty Toolbox Pro v3.0.0[rebuild].apk )and it works phenominal with endless options for customization....good luck
