Default Droid 2 possible brick.

Problem: I tried to install liberty rom and when i did it said E: failed to verify whole signature...installation aborted. I cant seem to find my backup i made of my rom.

Attempts at solutions: I tried to reflash the sbf to my phone everything seemed to go successfully. When rebooting the phone even after doing a data/chache wipe and reboot the phone still sits at the boot screen (yellow circle with liberty fist in center). Im smart with this stuff but not so much savy so any thorough help on the matter would be appreciated. THanks

Try pulling the battery, then turning it on by pressing 'x' on keyboard and power button simultaneously. Should come up with a Android guy in a triangle. Once you see this hit the magnifying glass on keyboard and this takes you to stock recovery. Wipe cache and wipe data and reboot.

I found out with Gingerbread you cannot use the magnifying glass, instead the volume buttons on the side of the phone should work. Haven't tried this myself though.
