Default D2 won't boot into recovery

My Motorola D2 won't boot into recovery. I used ROM Manager Premium and have already flashed clockworkmod recovery. Then when I hit "reboot into recovery" the phone just reboots. I also have ROM Toolbox Pro to work with the ROM Manager and it doesn't boot into recovery either. I'm not sure what to do from here. Please reply!

What rom are you using? That does that to me. I use the bootstrap to reboot into recovery when in android. Then since i am using miui ics test build (aceoyames) i can boot into recovery by holding vol down when the blue led pops up.

I'm on oem froyo - I've tried holding volume down and power and volume down as soon as it goes into reboot - I'm not sure if I have a pregram blocking it or something got screwed up

You need to purchase Droid 2 Bootstrapper from the market. It's about 3 bucks. You cannot get into an alternate recovery without it. At least not until you get to a custom ROM.
