Everytime I try to open the browser, Market, facebook, etc. it comes up with a message that reads, "A network error has occured. Retry, or cancel and return to previous screen." It works perfectly fine at my house with WiFi but I can't do anything off of the regular service. Is there a setting to change this?

My new droid is doing this same thing. If I am home or at work where there is wi fi that I have logged onto I can get on the internet. But I can't get on in other places.
The 4G symbol is not on the phone.

You willl need to turn off Wifi or it will more than likely scan for Wifi until you do.
