Thinking about getting the Zeemote for my Incredible. Glad to hear it works well! I'm thinking that, although I play a lot of SNES games, I could just use on-screen buttons for the less frequently-used buttons (i.e. if I'm playing Super Mario World, do I really need L/R/X?). It's certainly cheap enough.

Yeah, cheap enough for sure. I would think that would work well. Maybe the fighting games would be difficult, but your FF games and other rpgs and such should work fine. Here is a small vid of the Zeemote working on my D. Inc.

Default Controller Idea

I made this image pretty fast today, it is an idea that has been floating around my head for awhile now. I need some help with making the app. I can't code anything to save my life. I can however come up with the proper tools and materials to make the controller, and fund the entire project (however it won't be fast, coming up with the money is possible, but time time consuming).

If there are any people who have any talent at building electronics and/or making android apps, send me a PM if your interested in building this together. The design should work for most touch-screen only droid phones. If your having troble understanding my horrible (but somewhat to scale) plan, let me know.

Also I am going to start a new thread on this in the next few days.

edit: I will add the missing shoulder buttons and I am thinking about adding an analog stick (depends on what will and won't work with the phone)

Sleek and Fashionable Design PlayStation Move Navigation Controller Wireless Left Hand Gamepad for PS3 (Black) Sale at Remote & Controllers Accessories Store - Geartaker.com

Thanx a lot!
See that wont work on all phones though. If you were to use that for an HTC you would have to root the phone. Soon Ingenu will be providing a controller that will bypass all bluetooth interference from HTC Sense and offer up a lot more buttons than that silly thing does!

Being that this is in the Motorola Droid Forum, I'm assuming Sense not playing well with bluetooth controllers is going to be an issue.

Now, I know that PS3 controllers don't work on Android, or last I checked on it.

I have yet to see a bluetooth controller that would really be an improvement off of the Game Gripper pad... Actually, the iControlPad looks pretty promising...I'm just wondering how difficult it would be to modify the clamps to make it fit the phone...

EDIT: http://www.phonejoy.net/buy.html - This is a PS1 style controller...

Yeah but the Gamegripper is just for phones with slide out keyboards and more and more phones are not supporting that option.

I think our controller is much better than the iControlpad as it is it's own separate device and doesn't clamp onto the side. Not to mention I don't think any controller is worth $70. We are aiming for a cost around $40.

That PS1 controller is nice and all but you are paying out the rear on import fees which drives the cost up.

Of course I am partial to our prototype and ultimately our design but, you have to admit I have valid points!
