Default Does the rooting process disconnect your phone at any point?

Hey, I want to root my droid but I bought my phone from wirefly and apparently I have to wait six months before I can disconnect it from my number without paying a large fee.

When I go to root my droid, does it deactivate the line at any point? Thanks so much in advance

It is possible that you will need to reactivate your phone after rooting, but I don't think this is what wirefly is talking about. I think they are inferring that you can not disassociate the phone with your account for 6 months -- reactivating on the same number should not void that contract...

So what you're saying is their policy is no switching the device around to different lines? That'd be great if that was all. Does anyone know for sure? Their terms of use are kind of hard to navigate. I'd love to install 2.2 manually and get some extra clock speed
