So what's the change log? The laundry list above of all the stuff doesn't highlight what's new in 0.2 and why we'd want to try it...I know majority of people will just jump on this anyway, but I'm curious what's changed...

The overclocking and install apps to SD card are both items that I'd really like to be toggles so you can choose. If there isn't an obvious setting available, is there a way to turn either of those features off?

You can turn off the default where apps install to the SD card by typing the following into terminal:
pm setInstallLocation 1
Once you type that in, you should still have the option in Settings>Applications>Manage Applications to move apps to the SD card one by one.
You can edit the install-recovery.sh file to scale down the max frequency, or use SetCPU.

Re: [ROM] Bugless Beast V0.2 FRF57 FROYO - New Release is out!
I just tried this, and every time I went into my messaging app, it would reboot my phone.. note.. I didn't wipe data first and came from the original frf57 release. Gonna wipe and retry later.

OK, so I am a little late to using Pete's BB FroYo, bu am I to understand that BB automatically enabled app installing to SDCard location (assuming, also, that it only does this for apps that already have Apps2SD support built in)? Also, if that is true, then I suppose that if I were to have an app automagically moved to the SD card I would use the same procedure to move it to the phone as I do now with the apps I have on the SDCard?

Im I doing something wrong. I wiped and now the apps wont install by themselves. only the ones I purchased show up in market.

I haven't loaded the new version yet, but on the test version from today, reboot recovery was Power button and hold R on the physical keyboard. So maybe you can try that. And I'll tell him about the typo. [EDIT: It's already been fixed:
"-Added Reboot Recovery option (hold power & vol up button)
-Added Reboot option (hold power & vol down button)"]
Well, for instance, Google Earth, which DOESN'T have native apps2sd support built in, installed directly to my SD card. And yes, you can just push the button in Manage Applications to move any of the apps back to phone. What it does is make almost all the apps natively support apps2sd.

just as i almost finalize the first beast froyo on my phone this goes up
quick question what is everyone using to monitor cpu temps right now if im correct theres no way to get tempmonitor to work with it right now?
None of the Froyo kernels currently support monitoring of CPU temps, so there's not an app available that can do it. I've just stopped worrying about it!
This looks like an epic win for me...installed over JRummy's NexTheme Froyo ROM, and after only one reboot (often takes me three or more) I had a stable Droid, WiFi working, smooth and fast w/the 800MHz kernel included (running SetCPU).
This update is the smoothest ROM install I've had yet, on my Droid that hates 2.2...hopefully this is a sign of better things coming for those of us with "sensitive" Droids...
C'mon Fab, JRummy...let's see those themed updates!!

Woooooooooooooooo Hooooooooooooooo!! I'm happy for ya, Flea!
They're all update.zip files, so you install them just like a ROM, but you don't need to wipe.
In fact you'd better not wipe. Else you'll have (at the very least, if you wipe data and cache only) a clean OS with no apps and settings, or, (at worst case) just a boot image - that will sit there twiddling its thumbs as it has no system image to load (if you wipe System + data + cache or boot + system + data + cache).

I didn't get any FC's restoring with Titanium earlier today with the test version.
Stupid question, but just wanting to make sure: I'm coming from BB0.1 Froyo so this will be a simple "update.zip" operation. Does this wipe all my screens blank, or do my screens stay populated with apps? Just want to make sure I draw pictures of my screens if I need to so I know where everything goes
Something tells me the P3 kernals in Rom Manager aren't the new froyo compatible kernals. Phone thinks it doesn't have a battery and keeps shutting down. Well, lesson learned: Don't always rely on ROM Manager.

So long as you don't wipe data everything will stay as is.

I had that happen. Reboot into recovery and flash a FROYO kernel and it should reboot okay.

I had to nandroid as I didn't have a froyo kernal on my sdcard in update.zip format and I don't have a way to put my micro sd card into my computer. And since the phone kept restarting I couldn't load one onto the card that way either .
alright. so i had issues restoring wit tibu to begin with. but now none of my apps kept any of their settings and none of my widgets can be found. was this just a bad restore? should i just use 2.2's backup instead next time?
