Been wanting to install 2.2 on my droid if somebody can answer my questions:
What are the steps I need to go through to install a custom rom(root, backup, etc.)?
What is the best 2.2 rom out right now for the droid?

Is there anyway to do this on mac? I really don't have enough space on my windows partition to be doing this
Edit: I've got enough space to do this. What is the best 2.2 rom that is overclocked at 1ghz and stable(I think that's as high as it can go without risking damage?)?

You are asking too many detailed questions without learning the basics.
READ and the SEARCH button is also a nifty feature.

Best ROM...IDK, what's the best car out there? I like Ferraris and others like Lambos, and how you are coming at this is you want the best and the fastest car, but you don't know how to drive a manual transmission - so like I said, do alot more reading.

There is a TON of info within this forum, so please utilize it and if you have any other issues during the process and you can't FIND the answer, please ask.
