Default HELP PLEASE! Im STUCK on 2.01 NEED HELP

ok so my phone is stuck on 2.01 (droid) when i try to go into recovery by holiding power+x the menu doesnt show up only the caution logo/phone this happened after i unrooted from the dmupdater any ideas?

Rumor is Verizon pulled, or is holding off on, the OTA updates.

You could root and flash a 2.2 rom if you are impatient.

Not sure what you're asking, by unrooting your phone you went back to stock 2.01 and the stock recovery which is what you're describing.

i have the update on the sd card i just cant get into recovery to apply/install it

I'm not sure on this, but you may need 2.1 on there in order for it to update to 2.2.

yes im wondering how to recover from doing the unrooting and going back to regular stock 2.1

yeah im pretty sure your correct you need 2.1 to install 2.2

If you have the stock/signed 2.1 ota, you rename it to update.zip and run it from the stock recovery menu. It's been awhile since I've had to do so, so I don't remember the exact commands.
