Introducing Root Tools V.1.0

What is Root Tools?

Root Tools is an app, developed by JRummy16, that can be found on the Android Market for 99 cents. A lite version is coming soon.

What can Root Tools do?

Change boot animations (55 to choose from)
Change your system fonts (26 to choose from)
Install non-market custom apps
Enable froyo all apps to SD
Backup / Restore utility
Change build properties
- (Boot sound, button lights, call ring delay, dalvik vm heap, max events manager, proximity delay, enable full adb, stare fright management, wifi scan time)
Delete unwanted system apps
Enable compcache (if supported by kernel)
Block ads
Free memory
Manage Boot Animation
Clear cache or move ALL cache to sdcard
Reboot, power down, reboot recovery
Zipalign all apks
Fix permissions
Clear market search history

and this list goes on.....

I got my Droid X today and plan on including a custom version in a future, not yet created yet, Jrummy ROM

Tried to purchase this app from the market. Would not let me click on "Buy" button. Rebooted phone, and not app is not found in market. Appears to have been pulled. Bummer.

Personally I think most roms should have this anyways

UD1.0 has quite a few of these. Not quite as many boot animations or fonts, but I think an adequate amount to choose from. Still, JRummy, this is pretty cool.

certainly sounds cool.. thats a lot of nice functionality for a buck. will look into it & watch and see the feedback

the only bummer is that it is a little late to the party given I have other apps that do much of this already. but it might be worth the buck to find out if I can Enable compcache on my kernel.

Problem using this Root Tools App. Doesn't matter which bootanimation I choose, it always comes up and simply reads:

"928Droid
Black Glass".

Anyone know what the issue could be??

JRummy doesn't really frequent this forum, he just comes here to post what he develops. I think he hangs around droidforums.

JRummy might be good Dev, but needs to fix issue with Bootanimation on this app. Lack of acknowledgement to this issue leads me to stay away from his future work.

Love the app. Well worth the money. I noticed that my selected fonts don't wrap on the screen icons. Is there a way to get back to the default Droid X font?

Lack of acknowledgment where? Because if you're expecting a reply through AndroidForums, you are blatantly disregarding what I said and you probably won't be very missed from his user base.
