Question Rooted phone migrating to new phone

I have a rooted Original Droid running Lithium NG and after getting lucky 999 times on the 1,000 drop it cracked the top right side of the screen to the speaker port. The top right portion of the screen is dead. Luckily I can still answer the phone. Hopefully it will live untill tax time.

Has anyone migrated from a rooted phone to a new phone? Did the apps transfer over once you had the new phone setup? Should I move everything to the SD card?

Thanks!

Your apps and settings should be tied to your Google account -so, yeah, they should, just like when you install a new ROM.

Theoretically it should be like installing a new ROM on your Droid once you put the SD card into the new device.
