And I am trying to install CyanogenMod on my Droid1 and I get to the end where I try to apply update.zip from the SD card, and it says signature failed. I saw other threads where people had the option to ignore signature, but I don't have that option. I have:
-reboot system now
-apply sdcard:update.zip
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache partition
-wipe baseband data
and that's it. No options to ignore signature. I already factory resetted and wiped the partition.
Where do I go from here?

Unless you renamed the file to update.zip, I think you should be using the "Install zip from SD Card"...that is assuming you have CWM installed on your phone...
Otherwise, if you did everything up to that point correctly, just click on Reboot System Now..
