Default Clockworkmod Boot looping troubles

I can boot my oem rom no problem so it is not an sd card issue, but whenever I try to install and boot a custom rom the phone boot loops. I have tried the Droid concepts rom and the last froyo smoked glass rom and both just boot looped until I went back and booted my backed up oem rom.

I followed the directions on the smoked glass thread page for clockwordmod so I am not sure whats going on .

Any help, tips or leads would be much appreciated,
Thanks.

Are you doing the 3x wipe of data, davik, and cache? Also, the phone will take a while to boot up after flashing, how long are letting the phone boot up?

I would suggest trying the latest stable version of CM7, or even UD 2.5.0, and see if you are still having the issues.

Yes, do a data/cache wipe and try that, although the 3x thing is not needed. Do we have to format our hard drive more than once to clear it off?

good luck
