Default Gmail won't push/sync for cm 7.0.2 or .03

I've searched and searched and tried every suggestion I can find - what am I missing?

started with cm 7.0.3 and noticed right away push wasn't working (yes my settings are set to sync auto)

cleared all data and reflashed 7.0.2 and same thing.

I've tried this too:
Problems with sync - Google Mobile Help

thanks!

nevermind - dumbass here

didn't see you had to go INTO the account: settings-->accounts and sync --> email@gmail.com shows underneath it "sync is on" but if you hit the email account it shows the detail and guess what - DUH

well I hope this helps someone else before they make an a$$ out of themselves too

MBC - you didn't make an arse out of yourself. And we also thank you for posting the solution since you found it yourself - that will help future people, as you mentioned.

Thanks!

In the DOZENS of posts I read on this very topic NONE referred to this level of detail and most of the threads left the OP without a conclusion.

MBC, when I read the title I was like, "Yeah I know the solution, cm 7.x.x seems to have that quirk that you have to manually select the sync for email", but you found that answer, and I am with John is saying thanks for posting your solution instead of just editing your post to "NVM, I fixed it".
