Question Rooted android problem

I've rooted my phone and it installed the superuser app on its own. So obviously its rooted, but when i try to run root only apps it says that my phone isn't rooted. I tried downloading busybox because i read its needed. But when i try to run busybox even that says my phone isn't rooted. I even unrooted it, then rooted it again and i have the same problem. Does anybody know what the deal is?? :I

Welcome to the forums!

Sorry that you're having problems with rooting... it's a pain when you can't get it to work... took me AGES to root my Desire HD because of various problems.

Could you let us know how you rooted your Droid (post a link if possible)? This way we can work out what we need to suggest next!

I tried Super One Click and didn't have much luck. I ended up using Soup or Root, but even then there was a few times where superuser was installed but I did not have root. My advice is to start over, wipe the phone with RSD Lite back to 2.2, then immediately root with Soup or Root. There is an app in the market if you search for root that will tell you whether or not your root was successful. If it didn't work the first time just keep trying. I ended up Soup or Rooting twice before it would take.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask. I just did this all today so its fresh in my mind.
