Default OTA 2.2.3 OG droid lost root Help

Took OTA 2.2.3 update & lost root, I had not as yet installed another ROM to run on, It was still operating on OTA 2.2.2 but had just gotten rooted. I had already backed up on nandroid the 2.2.2 before OTA 2.2.3 update, as well as backed up all files on titanium backup. Unable to access ROM manager of CWR to reboot into recovery, unable to access any root function to restore via nandroid. Any Help is appreciated. Will I have to go back to return to factory condition. Then what, or can I return to 2.2.2 via another update as gingerbreak will not work on 2.2.3. No info on any OG droid 2.2.3 root is available. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Otherwise, you can always flash back to an earlier version using RSD Lite. Look it the Root Guide and see what versions of the OS are available.

Thumbs up OTA 2.2.3 droid update rooted

Finally got to root after OTA this is thread and links I used. I tried the other root optionearlier and didnt work for og droid. I hope this helps anybody who lost root. Just a hint that when you try to download the file windows essential blocked it as severe threat. After searching the threat name in google I found it was only a android root command that allows root. I had to click on allow to download. then it froze, I had to close and download again to get to open. Then follow opening below and which option (explicit u are going use) Zandrioidx used psneuter and it worked maybe because of his phone or maybe becaused he used superoneclick before. I had used gingerbreak and was on 2.2.2 and only rageagainstcage worked. I hope this helps somebody...

Can't root 2.2.3 with SuperOneClick?

Let us know how it worked for you. Here's the link:

Thanks Zandroidx, the link worked great and I am back to root. I used psneuter first and didnt work. was working got stuck in loop connection and i disabled usb bugging on second try in the middle of process when it got stuck. completed process but no root. I next tried the rage against the cage link. This worked great if you get stuck on a command after it starts keep the usb debugging box open and checked to start and uncheck the box if needed during root if same commands keep showing on screen saying no access. I had to extract the files to start and used the superoneclick icon and the rageagainstcage exploit on the right side on the app. All goes well.
Thanks again.........
