I hope what I'm asking hasn't been asked, but if so, I'd gladly take a link in the right direction.
Is there a comparison chart/ T-chart that compares the various roms out there?
Something that compares build (2.01 vs 2.1), features (wireless tether, live wallpapers, etc), speed results, strength/weakness narrative etc. similar to what you'd find on a consumer guide, perhaps in a scope and sequence type of alignment that alludes to release dates?
I've heard "go with the rom that best suits your need", but a diagram like the one suggested might help the community.
Perhaps a knowledgeable veteran would be interested in such a project?
If I'm way off, just tell me to go pound sand.
*disclaimer- I probably used incorrect lingo... but an expert I am not.
Thanks all.
AFAIK, no one has made such a chart - however, there is at least one user who is posting his own 'reviews' complete with a rating system, over at AllDroid.
What you propose is an interesting project -one that I can tackle in a week or so, but not now...I am making up finals from last semester, plus have an Advanced Calculus test in the AM, and midterms are next week - so I can't compile something like that right now....
There is that fact - but if we were to make it a Google doc or something similar that could be edited by the community, then it would be a lot easier to manage....

Good call. I'm in the same boat right now with classes (studying for a test right now) but I would love to contribute in some way. Let's do this
Thanks for replying though. seriously. I see the challenge behind the document, but sure would be neat to have a living doc such as that. Thanks for the positive replies.
Agreed, meekrab. I suppose the first thing would be to figure out how to make this work in Google Docs - I already have Google Docs linked to at least 2 of my GMail accounts, but after that I am at a loss - should I just create a blank doc and open it to everyone and make it editable by everyone?
Wish I knew, I haven't messed with google docs very much. What you suggested sounds good, just as long as you don't mind giving out your google account name (which I assume you must do to access the doc). One option would be making a dummy account dedicated to the doc
3 steps ahead of you there - I keep my dual accounts with my real name separate from the account I use to register for and login with at forums.
After all, my real name is not John L. Galt...
So revealing this account to folks would not put me in any sort of jeopardy...
Did the same thing at HoTMaiL, Yahoo, and GMX, just to name a few - in fact, every email address I ever had with a free provider I always made 2 of them...one jlg and on with my real credentials....
And the HoTMaiL accounts are like 13 or 14 years old now....
