Default Root Droid 2.3.3 on Ubuntu

Anybody know of any helpful recourse to root my Droid on Ubuntu 11.10? My Windows is messed up so I'm currently using Ubuntu and can't find very good tutorials for it. I found one but I could not make it work opening Superoneclick. I couldn't get adblinux to work correctly.

Any ideas/help would be great. I'm only rooting because my phone isn't working very well, and I have to wait another few months until I upgrade...

Does gingerbreak or z4root work? If not, you could try SBFing back to an older version then using one of those apps.

This method should also work, just use Linux directories rather than windows. Rooting the Droid without rsd lite up to and including FRG83D

Or you could follow this method using the sbf_flash linux utility:

[HACKS] Root Droid 1 - regardless of OS version

The sbf_flash utility is linked there, but if it is dead, I have it in my collection.

good luck
