Default Can someone kindly post a link

I have never rooted and have no rom updated or any market apps ob my droid running 2.1. However I want to root. I am familiar with update.zip files and process asI did manually update to 2.1.

However I learned I must first downgrade to 2.0.1 before rooting.

Can someone please post a link or directions, I have no idea what some of the lingo means, like" just add the spf" thanks!

To go back to 2.0.1 use this http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-droid/47349-now-you-can-live-without-fear-bricking.html

But before you do that I would read up on rooting

Start here
http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-droid/55843-read-before-you-root.html

Then go here

If you have questions just ask

Funny you should say that -- I was posting a reply about what having more options means in the slots and kernels thread and he beat me to it there, too!

It;s not the app that is the problem in connecting directly to the DROID - it's the fact aht no one has written drivers for a flesh_and_bone bus yet....

And our memory matrix is insanely more complex than just simple of RAM....

So, after i do this, i will lose all my apps (no biggie, can just reinstall from store!) but will i lose all the things saved on my sd card? like music and like NOTE files that i use note app to use?

more specifically will i be able to reinstall a note pad program (same one im using now that saves files to my sd) and that have all my info from pre revert

thanks again guys ....very helpful

im ashamed that i may do this all because of a 1 second lag on my droid ...hahah
