cyanogenmod is the only way to get app2sd right now. Honestly it is not going to make your droid faster at all though. No real point to it unless you have so many apps installed you are running out of space.

my understanding is that the bus speeds on the droid dont go any faster than a class 2 sd which is what the card that comes with the droid is. So not much point in getting a class 6 card.

IF you have so many apps installed that they are taking up most of the internal memory, apps2sd will definitely speed up your Droid. Available system memory(which apps install into) has a LOT to do with a computer's(which is what the Droid is for all intents and purposes) speed.

"This is not recommended if using less than a Class 4 SD card, as it may randomly eject and cause all sorts of issues.
A Class 6 card is strongly recommended." CyanogenMod wiki

I haven't used it. I don't want apps taking up the space for my music on my SD card.

the wiki wasnt written just about the droid. If you read on the droid forums on cyanogenmod you will see that going bout class 2 doesnt matter

Man I hope the standard SD card that the Droid came with will be enough as i don't want to shell out like fifty bucks for another SD crard

Anyone know a good tutorial to do the apps2sd with cynogen mod?

I know a guy who has been running apps2sd on the stock card for the past week and a half without any issues. So the stock card does just fine.
