Default Factory reset (Settings/Privacy/Factory Data Reset) not working

Just ran reset on my phone twice...it rebooted and nothing was removed!

Never seen this before...anyone have any thoughts? I'm on CM 5.0.7.1, and haven't seen this behavior before on that or any other ROM.

Gonna boot into recovery and do it manually, but this seems pretty darn weird...

Yeah, that will be your best bet.

You're not serious, right? on a rooted phone with a custom ROM (and thus a custom recovery) it's a helluva lot easier to boot into recovery and format Data and Cache....

DROID forum, sorry, I can't help you b/c I don't have an incredible. however, if the process on the Incredible is similar to the DROIDs, in that you have a custom ROM via using some sort of custom recovery, then boot into recovery and see if it also has the format DATA and format CACHE options....

DISCLAIMER:: DO NOT FORMAT SYSTEM

That will wipe out your OS and your phone will have nothing to boot to when you're done.
