Hello fellow droid users! I'm planning on rooting my stock 2.1 droid soon, but I have a few questions first. I plan on using the method described by Kellex on droid-life, but the problem is I don't have a computer with internet access, so I was wondering if I could download all the files onto my droid and transfer them to my computer? Also when I first root my phone will all my data be erased? Please help me out if you can, as I'm very anxious to explore all the features of a rooted phone!

Or you could tether with pda-net from the market and use the internet connection from your phone to download directly to your computer.
