Default Prepaid w/ Incredible?

Hi guys,

I'm a noob, just to get that out of the way

Here's what I need to know about, and maybe you guys can tell me how to do it:

1) get a "jail broke" Incredible

2) Use prepaid minutes and data

So, details, input, caveats, etc?

Thanks!!!

1: You can "Jail Break" the Incredible. With Android it is called rooting, but we do have root access on the Incredible. It will take reading up on how to root your phone or having someone else do it for you however, you can't just buy a rooted Incredible.

2: As far as my understanding goes it is not possible to have the Incredible on a prepaid plan. Verizon is very specific and strict about their phones and plans. Only certain phones are allowed to be on a prepaid plan. Any Android phone on Verizon is now required to have the full $30/month unlimited data plan.

Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions or need help getting root! Good Luck!

only if you could somehow "hack the meid" to fake the network into thinking you are on a prepaid device... i know its possible... i have heard of people "cloning" esn's to accomplish similar tasks.

Check out Page Plus Cellular, which uses the Verizon network.

Prepaid Cell Phone Cards | Prepaid National Cell Phones

Extremely limited data... but if you have a lot of wifi available, it might work for you.
