How do i create a custom dialer for Droid?

Are you looking for a dialer app?
I have been using Dialer One for a while now and like it...has T9 search and speed dial, it's pretty customizable and works well. It doesn't show FB pics in the dialer contact list but they do show during a call and when someone calls you, if that matters at all (I don't mind personally).

can you put a custom background on the dialer and change the button looks with Dialer One? and thank you for the response

As close as you could get with a custom background would be to have your wallpaper show, that is an option. You can't change the button shape but can have a black or white display (or wallpaper), you can choose the color that is used to highlight your searches too.
There are other dialers out there but I have only used Dialer One, give it a try and uninstall it if it's not for you

You can put a Rotary phone dialer on your phone. I saw the app in the market. Just search for rotary dialer.
