Comming from the BB world, it didn't even enter my mind that you couldn't on the droid. Do I need to download some kind of e-mail client to store the email on the phone? I travel A LOT and I want to be able to work through and reply to email on the plane (in airplane mode), then be able to send them all when I land.

Timely question as I am about to hit the subway for the first time with my Droid. As with you, would be nice to be able to read & compose "offline" and then mass send when you reach coverage.

Should work without issue. I just tested it in airplane mode using my Exchange account sending to my Gmail account. Sent as soon as I switched off of airplane mode.
