Default Positioning cursor when typing with on-screen keyboard?

Is it possible? My fingers (which aren't huge) still can't position the cursor well, especially if I need to get to the middle of a word for a correction.

So far, the only way I have found to position the cursor precisely is to slide out the keyboard.

Am I missing something?

Not that I've seen, I just have to tap the text box until the cursor lands in the right spot...yeah kind of annoying.

If you are using the slide-out keyboard, the directional pad can be used to move the cursor without effecting text.

My problem is tha the cursor disappears when using the slide-out keyboard. Sure I can move around easier, but I have to type, then delete some letters just to find out WTH I am at with the cursor.

To use an MP3 as a ringtone, just play the song in the android media player and while it's playing tap the menu key and select "Use as Ringtone".
