Default Is there a way to lock screen rotation

Back on my old Treo, I was an avid ebook reader (reading myself to sleep just about nightly). I am thrilled at the prospect of using a *much* larger screen with higher resolution, but worry about the screen flipping its orientation as I may roll over onto my side (I prefer to read ebooks in portrait). Is there a way to lock the phone into portrait, but ONLY for this app? I'd rather just "set it and forget it", rather than have to toggle something every time. Is this possible?

If you are using HTC Hero, do as below
goto settings
click Sound & Display
uncheck orientation
that's it

Not to be facetious, but since this is the DROID forum, one would gather that he has a DROID. Which he confirmed while I was typing this lol....

Also, IIRC, that setting will lock it for all apps, whereas the OP asked for a single app only.

RyanB, I am looking for the app - I saw it here somewhere, that allows you to set settings per application, similar to Locale....

Found a couple that may work - they are nto app based, but widget based, so you can temporarily turn of autorotation.

AutoRotate OnOff v1.0.0 Application for Android | Tools

ToggleRotate v1.2 Application for Android | Tools

AutoRotate Bar Widget v1.0 Application for Android | Tools
