Default How to: Take Screen shots on an unrooted Android phone

I should have posted this here in the first place.

This article describes how to take screenshots of your Android phone without being rooted.

Take Android screenshots without root | Android Central

I discovered that if you have PDANet, you don't need to bother with the "drivers" section of the article. Also, the author gives instructions for backing up apps with this method, and it didn't work on my Moto Droid because the directory he refers to in his instructions is blank on my phone.

I use Home++ as my home screen program and you can set (in preferences) to use camera button to take a screen shot. I chose to uncheck this feature as I was continuing to accidently taking a screen shot which would then show up in the gallery.

I tried the way the article suggests awhile back, but DDMS doesn't recognize my device, all options are just ghosted.
