I am going to wait and see.
Love the theme and previous kangs, but the one posted on 7-2 was a flop for me. The OS felt heavy and slow. My benches were also much better kernel for kernel on BB.

Just installed and it's working flawlessly....as usual for a JRummy ROM. We'll see how speed/performance works once all my apps reinstall.

BTW, I installed the Froyo Goodies but I still can't figure out how to run the app to sd script. I don't do ADB, but I do use terminal on the device.

This is rather nice....No problems with it.....Gonna let the kernel and ROM sit a while and try out the benchmarks a little later. I averaged about 1250 on Chevy's 1GHz ULV while on BB. If I clock better, I will be staying, if not....well you know lol

How is it compared to the 7-2 release? I had issues with that one.

Much better! I was having issues with it (apps wouldn't re-install?); trying to re-load ROM I saw this brand-spankin' new version and have had no issues so far. Fingers crossed.

Would you mind putting up a short bench score?
I am just curious because look at the Jake kernel scores in my sig. I find that hard to beat. But I hope you are right.
So long as it feels faster - I would go with that too

In the Kangerade scripts apps, does anyone else not see the "Others" option? I can't find the app2sd features and stuff....

Hey JRummy I don't see the option for Apps2SD in Kangerade Scripts. I don't see the "others" option. I'm using the Droid X themed build...

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm currently running Kangerade 4.0.7, do I need to wipe before I flash this one?

I didn't...booted up to a FC-ing Setup Wizard. I can't do anything once the phone is booted up, just keeps running and FC-ing. Tried to go back to 4.0.7...still FC-ing. Wiped cache and reflashed...still FC-ing.

Premature release?

I'm not having the best of luck with these source based ROMs. I think I'm going to go back to BB.

I can't either. I would really like to move my apps to the SD card; any other way to run scripts? I'm clueless in this area.

I have ran Bugless Beast, Sapphire, SS, the CM Alpha build, and Kangerade V4.0.7 and this build is running like BUTTER. I have not found one thing not working.

I'm using the Nex-Theme and the Droid X Themed Launcher Pro and flashed jdlfg.1100.v.32.2.0 kernel

1795 Quadrant
108 short Bench
Jrummy 5.0.9 NexTheme
Jakes 1.2 Kernel

This is the combo I used on 4.0.7 to get great battery life.

I can't seem to get the boot animation/installs to work. Anyone know what the problem might be? They say they're successful but then it doesn't change.

Yes sir, just type the script in Terminal Emulator. It does not move the app's already on the phone but when you download more it works for me.

a2sdauto - System will choose where to install apps
a2sdoff - All apps will be installed internally
a2sdon - All apps will be installed to your sdcard

Gave it a whirl, not bad. Love the themes. Overall it didn't bench as much as BBeast, though (yes, that pun was intended ). Using Jake's 1GHz kernel, my best Quadrant score was 1503 as opposed to 1541 on BBeast.

I'm a big fan of the Kangerade ROMs...but loaded it all up and got it just the way I liked it...ended up flashing back to BB 0.4. This is a good ROM, but everything is faster on BB for me right now (market especially) and I have had incredible battery life on BB.

When I Put this on my SD card. I had 50% battery. Did a Titanium backup and a Clockwork Backup then installed.
Got it up and running had less than 5% battery so I put it on the charger. Will play with it later.
Was dissapointed to loose my favorite walpaper, the stock one.

What Kernel is this for? I was running the previous version 4.0.7 at 800 mhz and exteremely stable.
I have P3's 1.2LV ands 1.2 on the SD card.

Quadrant Scores:
BBV0.3 - 1654
Kangerade 5.0.9 - 1577
(Best of 3)

Short and long bench were the same
Short: 169
Long: 419
(Best of 3)

I can't tell the difference to tell you the truth. The only time I notice the difference is when I try to "Hotkey" reboot the phone.
Can't comment on battery yet.

Happy

up and running. Quadrant score 1007 with no apps running. Had to reload all apps.
Titanium backup did not back up everything.

Second run of Quadrant was 1133

Third run was 1137

What kernel to install. Chevy or P3Droid?

I prefer Chevy ULV. P3 runs good on mines, but the temps can get high pretty quick. With Chevy ULV I rarely see 110F with P3 I will easily touch 125F under heavy use.

Is anyone missing the "others" option when using the Droid X build?

You should be able to run the scripts in Android Terminal Emulator. You can get that from the market. A lot of people recommend getting the one by Jack.

Try this when you get the chance...
su
a2sdauto - System will choose where to install apps
a2sdoff - All apps will be installed internally
a2sdon - All apps will be installed to your sdcard

That should still affect what script it runs. You'll just have to enter it manually. Dont forget the "su" and of course if prompted push "allow"

JRummy, I'm still loving the ROMs! First one I got to try out the X Theme and it's great. Thanks for the work. Syncing now.
