Wired/Wireless Tether Tested & Working (no longer included)
I highly recommend using Launcher Pro, It's free in the market. Much smoother than the stock Launcher....
Backing up...
Google saves your contacts, programs, settings, and bookmarks on the cloud.
You can double-back up program with Titanium backup, which will also backup application settings
You can back up text messages with a market app called "SMS Backup & Restore".
File is in the UPDATE.ZIP format.
Clockworkmod
Place the file you downloaded anywhere on the SD Card. Easiest place would be the root directory.
Chose "Install zip from sdcard" from the main menu
Select "Chose zip from sdcard"
Browse to the file (SG9-update.zip) and select it. Confirm the install, let it do it's magic.
Reboot.
SPRecovery Rename the file you downloaded to update.zip and place it in the root of the SD Card.
Select Install from the main menu
Select Allow update.zip Installation
Select Install /sdcard/update.zip (deprecated)
Reboot.
If you are running the most recent version of my ROM, you may not need to wipe data/cache (factory reset). It's never a bad idea though. If you bootloop, that is the reason.
Use the backup/restore utility in SetCPU 2.04+ to use them.
Updates:
Sg101 - Fixes provisions/setup wizard bug
Sg102 - Fix for bootloop on phones that can't handle ULV kernels. New version of Facebook (optimized)
Yep, battery meter...one of my fav's. Now I don't have to metamorph it myself!
Install was flawless. For some reason the time didn't show correctly and I had to manually adjust in settings...then put back to auto.
One minor issue is that from the lockscreen, when I rotate to "sound is off" the notification bar lists that the phone is in vibrate mode. Haven't tested this to see if it IS actually in vibrate mode or not.

I was coming from a different ROM, though, so I don't know.

I had the same problem with the previous version and it really was in vibrate mode. I had to start manually turning the sound and vibrate off.
holy sh*tballs batman! i donno if it's the ULV kernal or if my phone likes v10 better but this is lightening fast! much faster (on my phone) than v9.2! thanks!!
There are also several ways to do this (for those that aren't already familiar) but the free app metamorph is certainly one way.
Google or look at info from droidpirate to learn how to install. As usual...always make a nandroid first.
Also, in case it freaks you out...after applying any of these types of things and when you restart your wallpaper will have changed. I don't know why this is and don't care...just replace it to what you had before.

Ive been using this rom for a long time, it is great, today i tried upgrading to the new rom v10 (From 92) and my droid gets stuck in the bootloop. So i reformat the droid back to factory then root it and then try and install again, after wipe cache and erase data and it does it again, could someone help me?

So far this is fastest rom for my phone, I really love it, so fast and smooth no force closes, battery life seems great too.

I had same issue I was downloading on my netbook which I usually use to downlaod stuff for phone and my phone kept getting stuck on motorola logo so I went to my desktop and downloaded it and it worked that time so I am not sure what was going on.

Ok, everybody. I am new to this, somewhat. I had an Eris, and I went the long command prompt way to root that, and had very few issues and eventually worked through it...So I have to ask, has anyone had an Eris to compare difficulty to?
P.S. This looks like the ultimate ROM! Better than anything the Eris ever had...

You don't know have to touch a command prompt to root the droid.
There are very few steps, you basically flash an "SBF" (an entire system image) which already includes root.
Once you flash the SBF, you will have a recovery made for rooted phones.
Once you're at that point, all you have to do is download the ROM to your phone, select it in the recovery (i recommend Clockwork, but SPRecovery will work as well) and install.
Hope this helps. If i find a link in the next few minutes with detailed instructions I will post it.

Try downloading it directly to your phone.
I'm not sure what's causing this, I'm looking into it. Right now you are the only one who has reported this problem, but it is still worrisome to me.
It could possibly be the kernel, which is now ultra low voltage.
It boots up and works fine with the diffrent kernel. Thank You so Much!
If you're using the one the dev linked to...I would now backup and try a few others...probably staying away from the ultra low voltage (ulv). You should definitely be able to reach a higher overclock with the right kernel.

It's possible that your phone isnt responding well to the kernal. Especially if you have a remanufactured one. Try installing a different kernal by either going up in voltage and/or down in speed.

What is the program in your second pic with the bar graph?

After installing the ROM, but before booting. It is an 800mhz Medium Voltage kernel by chevyno1.
Please report back!
Thanks,
Dan
Been running the ROM all day. Had SetCPU at 1000mmhz max interactive and your profiles set. Been experiencing some lag and an occasional FC. Swapping in the mV kernel now. Everything else is great so far, Dan!

Reason: Messed up quotes
Is anybody having an issue with call waiting with this ROM? On three separate instances, I heard the call waiting 'beep' and checked the phone to see that there was no way to answer it. Am I missing something?
