I'm using it. CM Nightly build #5 is up on the website. The major issues thus far are still the issues with GB not recognizing the input from the accelerometer, compass and light sensor.
mostly works good as mentioned some hardware problems to be ironed out. I been playing with alt kernels p3 so far has been the best for 1100 over clock
Not sure if you guys have noticed this or not, but after I installed last night's nightly, I stopped having the 3G problem after phone calls. I am installing tonight's nightly now, but made sure to save last night's in case that comes back, that was definitely a winner.
Installed the new nightly. So far the nightlies have been good, outside of accelerometer, light sensor, and camcorder not working. Other than that, I've been having good luck with the GPS functionality, and navigation. So far, they've been my daily driver, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

You know, I'm not sure what happened, but I made a few calls last night before going to bed, and this morning I still have 3G (without any toggling). However, I'm still running UD3
When I have time tomorrow, I'll have to give one of these CM nightly's a shot. What kernel do they come with preloaded, and which are most of you guys running?
Do you know if the CM7 file comes with the Google apps or is there a separate file?
They are on a seperate file, i got them both in a thread here, that had a post with the links in it.

is anyone having issues with screen rotation? Is that somehow related to accelerometer? Mine won't rotate unless I open the keyboard on any app that has a portrait mode.

Which CM rom are you running? Currently im running CM7.0.0 RC0 Droid KANG, and the only problem ive had is the keyboard lights not working. 3g data is working for me without having to do the airplane mode trick.

Video camera working yet?

The CM Nightlies around build 6 started including a scripted workaround for the 3G being dropped after phone calls.
However, it has been noted that a few users just simply left their phones alone after making a call and the 3G automatically picked itself back up after a period of ~10 minutes or so. So, based upon this, if you make calls the night before and then check the next morning it is likely that you'll have service restored.
The script included is a workaround and not a true fix.
That being said, Jeffv2 has posted a new build that has the accelerometer fixed.
And I see in the forums below that Liquid is back in the game again, too....
I installed the Honeycomb Music app on CM7 and made it hte default music player. It had issues the very first time I ran it - but after a reboot it is worknig perfectly fine.
I'm currently running the latest CM7 nightly and it runs really smooth. The only downside so far is that sometimes you get random reboots/shutdowns, but other than that everything seems to be working. I haven't tried out the camcorder but the camera works, they also seem to have a pretty good 'fix' for the 3G connection after a phone call. Also, their accelerometer seems to be a lot more responsive now and the keyboard lights will come on depending on the light (in most cases).

Running build 18, downloading 19 right now...not had any issues but the camcorder with build 18. Accelerometer is responsive all the way around, kb lights work, 3G after calls works (though I read this is actually a script that is set to 'run' after a call ends...whatever, it's working). Snappy and good battery life (plays well with sapphire LV 7 slot 1Ghz kernel so far).
**Update**
Got build 19 up and running (still w/Sapphire kernel). Looks purty - Cyan-themed (color) battery, signal, & wifi icons in the notification bar, as well as app icons. Camcorder still a no-go.

Build 21 ****** my phone over something awful. Kept going back to the Android on the skateboard every time I tried to touch the robot to sign in. Older version of GApps, maybe? It was the 12-25 one, I think. Last time I don't use ROM Manager to update.

Well, i was going to update to v20, then 21, but for some fancy reason, Rom Mgr will NOT load them (and I cannot even reboot into recovery when trying to upload them either). Really wanted to try v21, but no go. Had to perform 3 battery pulls just to get it to reboot on v18.
Any thoughts? (I've tired re-flashing Rom Mgr, SP Recovery doesn't jive with my sd card for some reason either.)

I haven't been wiping after I did initially when I first switched over. And I only have one backup, since they take up a ton of space on my SD card and the ROM seems very stable. I honestly can't tell this is an experimental build unless I try the camcorder.
ran cm7 nightlies before then tried LF g-bread wanted to go back to cm7 nightlies downloaded 21 and booted to recovery wipe and format and loaded but booted straight to desktop and i cant add gmail under accounts and setting tried the same with 20. any idea what i am missing?
I used rom manager and had no issues. I did however flash Chevy's 1.25 medium voltage kernel and omg talk about fast. The widget resize options are beyond useful. I have to also say no issues with loss of 3G or any other of the known issues. Everything and I do mean everything seems to be working great. build 21 btw

Choose a ROM, that fits you, not cuz its popular.
I think that's what my issue was earlier. Nothing wrong with #21 and instead I used an old GApps pack.
Best way, IMO, is still through ROM Manager where you select the nightly, then select GApps, and it will restart the phone for you, in to recovery, flash both the ROM and GApps, and a kernel of your choice too, if you add it to the cue. That way you're not sitting there maneuvering through the menus manually. Saves some time and headache.

Checked it upon d/l from Rom Mgr. However, I've noticed I have to re-flash Rom Mgr (and permissions for some reason) whenever I want to d/l or install a new rom. That could be where the lack of gapps came into play.

Thanks for all the replies, I had thought that i read that if you wipe in recovery that you keep some setting or something that you loose if you do it in rom manager.

A wipe is a wipe. I think the ROM Manager wipe includes Dalvik cache and all the partitions and such. In recovery, you do those manually, so yeah, you can choose what to wipe if you want to, but I like a complete wipe.
I have not had to wipe when upgrading from nightly to nightly. I've been through three so far. Am I alone on this?
