i am wondering if there is a way i can change the way i switch to a different screen section (you know like when you swipe left or right to add more icons) like being able to scroll up and down instead of left and right, ]: sorry for my bad explaination i just don't really know how to explain it correctly

Your question is well stated, sarobi.

I believe there are some apps in Market that can cause vertical scrolling of screens on the Droid.

Perhaps one of the third party launchers.

Try doing a search on "vertical screen scrolling" or some such in Market.
