Default Setting up droid to wii, problems!

Ok, I currently use pdanet with orginal Droid to tether to my laptop and use that connection for home internet (we live out in dial up only land)
I am trying to figure out how, if it's even possible to somehow connect my laptop (running Windows 7) to my Wii.

I have already bought the lan to usb adapter that you plug into the wii and connect to lan on laptop. enabled sharing on the pdanet connection and it dosent work. Cannot connect to internet

Today I tried getting a wireless router (netgear n300 #WNR2000) trying to make a wireless network at home for the wii to pick up. Not working either. Computer sees router and wii sees router but no internet going between them. I cannt get the router online to change any settings.

I have contacted pdanet and they said to use sharing but it wasent working. I have sent them another email similer this post as well but looking for more help.

Any ideas???

Thanks

Any ideas?

You won't be able to use PdaNet to share directly to the Wii because PdaNet acts as a USB modem. You can't simply use an adapter with the proper inputs and outputs and hope it all works out.

You have two options:
1) Root and install Wireless Tether. Rooting is extremely easy, especially on the Droid, because you can't screw anything up and there's absolutely NO way to brick.
2) Connect the Droid to your Windows 7 laptop via PdaNet and then install Connectify on your Windows 7 laptop, which will let it project a Wi-Fi hotspot. This requires your laptop to always be on, though.
