I am not very tech savvy and wanted to know if anyone has a simple way to watch movies on the Motorola Droid. Can you download from Netflix or anything like that? Do I need to download additional apps, etc.?
download an mp4 movie, or download a regular one, find a mp4 converter, convert it. Upload it to droid. Watch on droid. Enjoy your droid....love your droid.
doesn't doubletwist convert video for the droid? i haven't tried it for that yet, but it says you can just drag and drop and it will automatically convert video to play on the droid. please correct me if i am wrong. thanks.

doubletwist is more drag and drop friendly. while handbrake will allow for more conversion settings... doubletwist also requires you to sign into their service... kinda lame.
this will likely be removed from androlib and/or market, unless the dev decides to stop promoting piracy...
I hope not. I have no idea what the law is regarding copyrights etc, but the LukLuk doesnt let you download, save, or buy movies. Just watch them In HQ
1 of my top 5 apps. Plus its been out forever! I think if it was a problem they would be shut down already.

maybe the fact that their free registering service built into the app gives access to copyrighted material? i dunno.
posts leading down this way usually get deleted. be sure to review the sites rules and regs...
Looked cool at first sight until I noticed that there were actually only like 5 free full length movies.

I mean if the app truly has a better selection, maybe I'm looking at it wrong. I launch the app and the first selection Network I choose.
Then I see the movies. Going down, after I registered, I see several movies, but most of them are Trailers. Once I get to the bottom, there aren't even very many trailers..!

I knew they had categories, but I didn't know how to access them. I didn't realize it was a "slide" action...I thought it was just a tap and wasn't getting anywhere.
Much more satisfied now.
ADDED: How often do they add more videos? Like when do the ones that just came out on DVD make their way to LukLuk?

Well there doesn't seem to be any method to how often they add movies. Only a few have been added in months but I can't complain. Glad it worked out for you!

The Motorola Droid - the first ever Verizon Android Phone - exploded onto the mobile market with an incredibly successful ad campaign that brough Android to the masses. With a huge and vibrant touchscreen, solid metal body, full QWERTY keyboard, 5M... Read More
