Default Trying to copy files to computer...

I am trying to copy files to my computer and when I go to the drop down menu and choose to copy the files, it tries to open the normal screen but closes right away. I was just in it and moved some ringtones, but I decided to put more on and go back in...it did not work.

I have tried multiple restarts, and unmounting/remounting but nothing seems to work. I did delete an empty folder, so that might have done it. I dont remember what it was, but it is possible it had hidden data that required it to work.

Anyone experience this before?

I am thinking I may have to find my microsd to sd adapter and do a back up and format.

Edit: Figured I'd edit this in case someone else has this problem. I did have to use a micro usb to sd reader and backup/format. As soon as I put it back in the phone it put the right files back in and I restored everything.
