Question Volume turns itself off

Orig Moto Droid stock version now randomly turns volume control down so phone won't stop vibrating. Can turn volume back up and it will turn it back down. Happens without being touched or sitting in docking station. No phone cover that could interfere and it just started doing this. It is driving my husband crazy.

Do you have any apps that control the phone, such as task automation (Locale, Tasker, Timerrific, etc.) apps that might be doing this?

have you tried wiping your data and cache (performing a factory reset - ***warning - you'll lose all data and apps and will have to start over as if you just bought the phone***)...

Angry Solved

Apparently my husband in cleaning the droid got a little bit of water on something he shouldn't have. While the phone still is usable his power switch no longer works. This is more than likely the cause of the volume issue as well.

That might be true - hope it's not.

Might still take a look at running applications, just in case....
